Time of past OR future Camino
August 2017
I am starting Camino from St Jean Pied in August however need to transport my bike from either Toulouse or St Jean Pied to either Burgos, Madrid or Barcelona so it's there when I arrive. I know that Camino luggage transfer is 20kgs as you walk but I'm looking for a service that will fast track my bike to my end destination. Any recommendations?

That is a tricky one!! You could use a standard international courier? What you would need is a bike shop as they always have the boxes that their bikes were delivered in ... these are really strong .. for a small fee they will dismantle your bike for you - put your bike in there and have it shipped to wherever you want.

There is a company that ships your own or hire bikes, using the post office couriers SEUR, to St Jean - were you to get in touch with them perhaps they could organise the shipping of your bike from St Jean?
Here the link - http://www.bicigrino.info/tienda_virtual/en/ (if you don't read Spanish use Chrome browser and it will automatically translate the pages ;)

Thanks David for the great information. I will certainly contact them and enquire.

there is a bike rental company in Spain. they deliver and pick up bikes (the ones they rent) Spain wide.
I dont have their name or address now.
Look for bike rental Spain...they will come up. They make it clear on web page "drop off/pick up Spain wide."

Talk with them and see if they can use same service for you bike....

may work...

Or they may give you some better ideas what to do

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
