I'm leaving for Pamplona in 3 weeks. I want to post a blog every day using my iPhone. I use the Blogger Ap on the phone, but it has recently started to crash a lot (e.g. it will only accept a two word title; it doesn't like deletions). Does anyone have any suggestions to overcome this problem? Would Wordpress be a better option, though I'm reluctant to change after 4 years with Blogger?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi Margaret,
Can you try logging in to the Blogger website instead of using the app? That way you can see if it's an app problem, or a Blogger server problem. (Or a phone problem!).

Enjoy and Buen Camino!

Same thing happened to me. Someone suggested I remove the app and download it again, but when I did that I found that the blogger app is no longer available. There is a "google blogger", but it didn't look the same. This actually happened to me on day 2 of my camino, but @NualaOC saved the day by recommending "find penguins". It is easy to use and works perfectly. You're lucky it happened before you started! Buen camino, Laurie

For those who are interested in blogging but haven't quite started yet, I've had an excellent experience with the Wordpress app by phone for seven years now.

I used "App for Blogger Blogspot" by Tuyen Dinh while on the CP. It was a little cumbersome at first, but I eventually got the hang of it. Other than being a bit slow, the main thing I disliked was typing on the small keyboard of my iPhone 5s. Check it out in the App Store (search for the exact title I mentioned above) or look at http://apps.riteilshop.com/app/1201165642/app-for-blogger-blogspot.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I found the Squarespace app problematic until I realized I was trying to post full size photos. As soon as I emailed the photos to my self and uploaded the smaller version it started working reliably.

I used to use Blogger until it became totally unreliable. For my Camino Portuguese in June I used an app called Blog Touch Pro. It was great and easy to learn. I blogged each day on my iPhone and could save a days blog if I didn't have a decent wifi and upload/post later as needed. A big advantage was that my photos were also easy to insert since I took all my pictures with the camera in the phone.

I hope this helps.

Buen Camino

Hi @Margaret Butterworth. I just started a Wordpress blog to use on my Camino with my phone. It works with automatic formatting for phone, tablet and computer. I have a blogspot but read the app doesn't work with phones well. Last year I blogged with my phone and the recommended TravelPod site. Unfortunately it completely closed in May and I lost the blog. I transferred posts to Wordpress, but pictures didn't transfer.

So I started this blog with a more reliable platform, I hope. So far I've been playing with my new blog and composing and posting on my phone. Very user friendly. I used the WP app and set it up on my phone. I'm leaving for Spain on September 6, so the posts are my prep and training days and last year's posts without their pics.

Thanks for all the advice! There's a lot to think about, so any other contributions would be most welcome. I'm still researching my options, and have discovered this useful article:
https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/resources/wordpress-vs-blogger

BTW, using Blogger from its own website is OK at home with my laptop, but not feasible on holiday with only an iPhone 5C and its tiny screen. I'm most tempted by "App for Blogger Blogspot" as suggested by jmcarp. However there are grave fears about the longterm security of Blogger as raised in the above article. It would be just awful to see your blog of many years disappear.
