Book about Le Puy Camino ?

Can someone recomend a book - not a guidebook - on the Le Puy Camino ?

The film "Saint Jacques La Mecque" was shot in nearly fifty different locations in France and Spain, covering two months of pilgrimage. I don't think there is a version yet with English subtitles. It is fun to watch in French, but unless you are fluent in French, I think a lot is missed. I bought the book to try to catch a bit more of the meaning, but it barely helped. I am waiting for the English version!

Is is finally available! It was released in Canada, so they had to have sous-titres. Amazon has it for a ridiculous price, but searching a bit I found it fairly cheap. And yes, despite watching my French version three times, I still missed a lot. My niece, who went to school in France, told me without hanging around students I'd never get all the slang.

It starts in LePuy, and visits many of the locations on the way.

Prof Conrad Rudolph' book 'PILGRIMAGE TO THE END OF THE WORLD' is a delightful story of his walk from Le Puy to Finsiterre.
I often quote one of my favourite passages where he says, "The albergues in Spain are the sopul of the Camino".

Two very recent photobooks illustrating the Way from Le Puy - St Jean-Pied-de-Port are Martin Davis' Puy paysage and Puy ouverture. The first - as is clear from its title - contains beautiful landscape images taken by him along the route (upwards of 100). The other - quirkier, and cheaper - contains a similar number of photographs of windows, doors etc. (Martin interprets these words very widely!), again published in sequence, as the walk progresses. Neither is particularly cheap, as Martin has chosen the print-on-demand route (via Blurb.com), but I can vouch for the excellence of the photography. Oh, and you can usually pick up a Blurb discount coupon if you do a search before ordering: it can make a big difference in the price you pay.
