Booking a same day flight

Please excuse my ignorance of European ways, but is it possible, (and, mostly, cost-efficient) to book a flight from Santiago de Compostela to Barcelona same day? In all honesty, I have no clue when I will arrive in Santiago, and don't want to chance an online purchase of air tickets. In the US, any same day flight price would be completely over my head (pun intended :D ) and a stand by ticket at that. Please educate me! Thanks!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Hi there karanarttravel,

Vueling is starting a new route between Santiago and Barcelona tomorrow actually. There are other companies, that flies the same route (I think Spanair and Iberia still does) but you will have a better change of getting a good deal with Vueling. Think of Vueling as a "South West Airlines"-type airline. Brand new planes, but low-cost.

More on them here:

You could just make a reservation with them online one or two days before (you should be able to plan one or two days ahead, right?). There are internet cafes in Santiago where you can do this. If you do not like doing online reservations at these types of places, you could give the reservation center a call once in Santiago:

Vueling Reservation Center

Spain: 902 33 39 33 Fax: 933 78 76 50
Italy: 800 78 77 88
France: 0800 90 54 61
Portugal: 800 834 201
Belgium: 0800 71 861
Netherlands: 0800 022 1319

To get an idea of prices, try the link above and see what the prices would be for a ticket tomorrow or in 2 days.

I hope this helps,
Ivar
