Hi,
Would you recommend I book two berths in the train from Barcelona to Burgos on Oct 12 or will it be no problem finding space?
Thanks in advance, claire

Claire, if it is a night train and you want a bed with bedding compartment, it might be worth booking it ahead of time.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Yes, Claire, it's better to book in advance.

The 12th October is the "Día de la Hispanidad", national bank holiday, and in this kind of days people use to travel more than usual.

Buen Camino, buena reserva.

I think booking on trains if you're not a Spanish National can be somewhat troublesome as I discovered a few years ago. The problem is, you'll need to supply an ID number for Renfe, or at least you used to have to. Worth a look.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
In fact, I found out it is not possible to book a berth on that train. Calling renfe was not simple at all. Finally, I ended renting a car through easyjet. One way. We'll see how this works.
Thanks everyone, claire
