Jim, I would like to arrange the same. How did you do this and may I ask what contribution is expected?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Hi MaxHelado,
I've recently been in contact with another party that made the same arrangements and they were successful. First, email your request to: botafumeiro@catedraldesantiago.es
The cathedral will then likely email you back requesting that you pay a fee of 450 euros in the form of a wire transfer to the Archbishop of Santiago and they'll include the bank info needed to do that.
According to my understanding, that's it.

All the above is correct it needs to be a least one week in advance

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
I fear that the 450€ may be a bit too salty for me. But another idea would be to share the cost. I will be arriving in Santiago on Monday 6th June. Anyone else arriving that same day? Happy to arrange it if others could help with the cost.

Max, I requested the same and had about 5 offers but the logistics and figuring out the split that was fair wasn’t easy as well as payment so I Just bit the bullet as one would say and did it asking that at the service they could give what they could. The Catedral sets aside Two booths for those that pay 5 to 6 per booth

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-

So the booths can hold 10 to 12 people in total? How does the Cathedral know who to admit into the booths? Forgive me but I can't block the image of a Golden Ticket!

I can certainly see the logistical problem of collecting money ahead of arrival in Santiago but I can also see a practical problem in collecting it on the day! How will you do that?

I’ve just asked that when they see me and my friend to just approach and give what they can

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Neither I have requested it to be swung
Jim, that is wonderful news. I will be in Santiago next week waiting for a friend to join me on our final leg of Camino Finisterre. I will be at the Cathedral on May 30th for 12 noon Pilgrims Mass - and hopefully will see the botafumeiro swing (with deep gratitude to you)! When I reached Santiago on my Camino in 2017, I wasn't lucky enough to see it swing. Thank you in advance!
