Bus from Espinal-Azurri to Pamplona

Time of past OR future Camino
CF 2016,
Chemin du Puy, Camino de Fisterrais 2018
Hi fellow pilgrims
This year I am walking the St James Camino, from Le Puy en Velay to SJPP, topping off with another walk over the Pyrenees to Espinal. SO EXCITED.
That is where my main walk ends, ......... this time. I have only a day to get to Pamplona. So need to take a bus.
My dilemma is, I am aware of a bus to Pamplona, (which starts from Roncesvalles), I have checked out the timetable, but am not sure how one buys a ticket. The company kindly advises that all tickets are purchased in Pamplona, and that there are no pre-bookings.
Has anyone out there used this service and can advise me. Do I just wait at the bus stop, and pay when I get on? Yes, I have emailed the bus company, and I have also been a pest, and contacted our accommodation.

Welcome @tinta and enjoy the anticipation!

Usually in the villages (like Roncesvalles or Espinal) one pays the driver onboard. But often you need to contact the bus company before to make sure they will stop and pick you up.

last year i got the bus that runs Pamplona - SJPP - Pamplona.
I got on at Roncesvalles to take me back to SJPP.
I waited at the bus stop, and paid on the bus.

Usually in local routes you must wait the bus arriving at time at the bus stop. If there is somebody waitig or somebody to let the bus, the bus will stop. If there is nobody it will not wait for anybody. Remember that the stop time is only to to step into de bus or to leave it. Be sure that driver sees you on arriving. The ticket is paid there to the driver.
