We are planning on ending our camino in Muxia in July. When we completed the same root there was an early morning bus from Muxia to Santiago. When I looked online Rome2rio said that there was only one bus for this route at 5 pm. Does anyone know if that is accurate?

This is helpful... we were planning on taking a bus from muxia on a Sunday to catch a 5 pm flight... an 11 am bus might cut it close... any recommendations? Taxi?

There are more buses leaving from Finisterre than Muxia. Maybe walk Santiago to Muxia to Finisterre?

I would prefer to finish in Muxia myself though.

Edit: Sorry @Joshgehl, I missed that you are familiar with this. I'm not deleting my post though in case someone else visits this thread in the future.

On May 20, took the 6:30am bus. Note: Fortunately we were at the bus stop early because the bus left about 8 minutes early.

There are several buses running from Muxía to Santiago, but I'd advise you to double- and triple-check the timetable on the bus company website (Monbus). When I needed to travel from Muxía to Santiago in January, the timetables at the bus stop and in the albergue said that the morning bus leaves at 6:30, but actually that day it was scheduled at 6:15 (the information was only available on the website), and I missed it.

But there is also a taxi service, and it's not terribly expensive, so you might want to consider this option. If you want to travel early in the morning, better arrange for a taxi to pick you up in advance, the day before.

Buen Camino! :)

FYI to you and others, and my Finnisterre experience last month may also apply to Muxia. In Finnisterre I met 2 men who had reserved a taxi back to Santiago the following day. There would be 4 traveling back for about 60 euro, I think. Very low cost split 4 ways and phenomenal convenience to their albergue at time of their choosing. Next morning I took the 0800 bus to A Coruna. The bus to Santiago was full, and others were going to the window (lucky for them there was live body) to book on a second bus allegedly being arranged. Much confusion and disrupted plans for a lot of those folks. Last year in July it was me on that Santiago bus. Even with minimal pilgrims due to worldwide COVID restrictions, that bus was nearly full.
