Cacabelos albergue de peregrinos open or closed?

Hello! I'm just looking for some clarification on the Gronze site listing of the albergue de peregrinos in Cacabelos. (screenshot attached) It is listed as a seasonal albergue, and as temporarily closed. Is the "temporarily closed" marker to show that it is not currently open due to being seasonal, or does the "temporarily closed" marker mean it's closed for an indeterminate amount of time due to the Covid-19 pandemic?

I do not know the answer but I do know that during the off season in the past they were always closed. You might sent an email to them and ask.
There are however many other possibilities for Cacabelos accommodation at all prices listed in Gronze .

Since Gronze already lists the months that it is open (though the Ayuntamiento website says May to October, rather than April to November) I'm inclined to think that it's currently closed for Covid, not because it's a seasonal albergue.

There is a "contact us" form on the Ayuntamiento website where you could inquire.

I guess that your question could be rephrased as "Will the situation of the pandemics allow the more or less normal functioning of albergues next April? The short answer may be that nobody knows...
The albergue is associated with the city hall. You can try to mail them.

@Felipe, I'm not so much interested in hypotheticals. I just want to know if the "temporarily closed" marker is a regular practice of Gronze to indicate a seasonal albergue is currently closed or if this means the albergue has been closed due to the pandemic and the opening date is still TBD. Just trying to learn how to accurately read the website info. Sorry if my original question was not clear enough. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that it's the latter - that it's Covid related.

For example, Orisson is only open seasonally, but it doesn't have a "temporarily closed" symbol on Gronze.

As someone who also keeps a close eye on "whats open" I have a theory on the "temporarily closed" indicator, without knowing for sure.

I suspect that it is there because the editors have received a message from the ayuntamiento/owner that a particular albergue is closed due to difficulties with covid/contracts/other non-seasonal issues, but that they plan to reopen when possible. The difficulty is that there are many albergues in this situation, and as an editor it can be difficult to keep the list accurate without becoming a burdon on the person trying to sort out the closure in the first place. It may be that an albergue opens before gronze or myself or someone else gets word from the owner, as their first priority is making it happen for the pilgrims that are walking by NOW.... leaving little time and energy for reaching out to the guides.

At the moment, even calling some albergues doesn't answer many questions as it is still pretty early for many to open and most keep the phone off even though they are planning to open.

This albergue was closed when I was there last August. As far as I know it was closed all of last year.

I finished walking the VDLP/CF in December. I am 99% sure that the temporary closed signatures are based on Covid closures. As Trecile pointed out there are notations on each web page for when albergues are open and closed based on the season/dates. Albergues that are marked temporarily closed and have notations that they are open all year were closed. Albergues that do not have the Temporarily closed post and have an open/closed date of, for example April-October were almost often closed in November/December. Once in a while an albergue that Gronze or any of the apps say is closed my be open or visa versa. In my experience that has nothing to do with COVID. It has to do with when the owner wants to stay open or closed.
So if you are walking in low season, especially winter, I would always check ahead to make sure the albergue you want to stay at is open. Gronze, Wise Pilgrim, Buen Camino all do a great job with information. But no one is completely accurate on when albergues close or wish to stay open.
