The Government of Navarra publishes a calendar on the Camino de Santiago
It is available in digital format and distributed through a website

EDITORIAL PAMPLONA The Government of Navarra, through the Departments of Rural Development, Environment and Local Government, and Culture, Tourism and Institutional Relations, has published a 2013 calendar dedicated to nature on the Camino de Santiago.

The calendar, which is distributed exclusively in digital format, is available for download from the portal of the Government of Navarra: http://www.navarra.es. Its design has been used typography created by Anna Vives, a girl with Down syndrome, with the aim of promoting the values of social equality and the importance of teamwork.

The publication coincides with the celebration, this year, the 25th anniversary of the declaration by the Council of Europe's Camino de Santiago French as first European Cultural Route, and the 20th anniversary of its declaration as a World Heritage Site by Unesco. The five communities crossed by the route-Galicia, La Rioja, Navarra, Aragon and Castile and Leon-signed Oña (Burgos) a protocol to enhance the route.

Last year more than 60,000 people crossed the Camino de Santiago in Navarre, of which about 60 percent were foreigners. This calendar is in addition to that spent in 2010 the International Year of Biological Diversity, in 2011 the International Year of Forests with Navarra and Natural Monuments in 2012 to migratory birds.
