Has anyone taken this route from Santander to Carrion de los Condes? As I've taken the no-fly pledge - no, I'm not proposing to re-open a locked thread! - I'll be starting and ending the Spanish section of this year's bicigrination in Santander and would like to follow the roads less travelled. The name indicates an old Roman road, and the only photos I've found do indeed show some splendid but slippery paving, so I'd expect to walk much of it or take the occasional detour. Either way, I'd welcome any information you may have.
