Hi, I was asked by a German pilgrim forum to cross post this here also, in translation, and yes, I am happy to translate and re-post your questions etc also back ;-) :

"I have found a digital camera on the Camino - in the mud. I believe that this camera belongs to a French pilgrim on a bike that was with a small group on the way. The camera is damaged, but there are lots of images on the memory card."

Unfortunately the finder doesn't want to post where he found the camera, because of the concern that somebody claims it falsely.

For those that can read German, here is the original thread: http://pilgerforum.de/forum/index.php?topic=8841.0

Hope the international pilgrims community can help to re-unite camera and owner, SY

PS If that is the wrong sub-forum, sorry!, and please put it in the right one ;-)

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Update: The camera, a Canon DSLR, was found between Boente and Castaneda. SY

Maybe he could post a few photos on Facebook and ask that people repost. Things have been found that way?

It seems that the photos are mainly of other pilgrims and he doesn't want to do that for that reason, SY

A thought. Can he copy a couple of photos off the camera, then pixelate the faces out and get you to post them here? Someone might recognise them by the clothes and be able to re-unite the camera with its owner.

I'll ask, if he puts some up, I will share them here ;-) SY
