Caminha to Tui

Currently walking the Camino Portugues. Tomorrow we’re planning to cross from CAMINHA on the coastal route to TUI on the central. Can anyone tell me who has completed this section whether or not it is well marked with arrows etc? - Thx Jules.

Julian - we're gearing up for a September/October trek there as well - as we've slowly discovered, it may be better to mix a coastal with a central....I understand there are many stretches that have unfriendly cobblestones on the paths.....is this correct from you current experience?

Waymarked I don't know but I drove the road from Caminha to Valença do Minho (30 kms) many times.
But it is easy. Walk out of Caminha direction Vila Nova de Cerveira. You'llwalk over a long bridge. After the bridge appears a foot/bike path, the Ecovia. It goes as far as Valença. In Valença you'll find the yellow waymarkers to Tui-about 4 kms away-and over the famous bridge over the Minho river built by Ferdinand Eiffel, the same man as the builder of he Eiffel tower in Paris and the Dom Luis I bridge in Porto.
Allways keep the Minho river at your left .

Thanks heaps for your reply Albertinho. Feel a lot more confident setting out tomorrow morning now. I’ll certainly be paying more attention while crossing over the Minho River knowing the great Ferdinand Eiffel played a major part in the design...

Yes the cobblestones are never ending I’m afraid. We’re walking from Lisbon. Didn’t really notice them too much in the first few days, but since Porto they’re everywhere. You kind of get used to them There’s been quite a lot of mud around in the past week too due to recent rain. I’m sure it will be better in Sept/Oct.

I'm walking from Porto this Thursday. How muddy is it. Should I wear boots or stay with trail runners?

I’d stick with boots. Quite a lot of water on the trail!
