New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Hi, Toby,
There isn't a separate section on this forum for the Camino Sanabres, so all of the posts relating to it are going to be in the Via de la Plata section. If you just click on the "check if your question has been asked before" above this message and type in only "Sanabres" you will get lots of information that way.

If you have specific questions, there are lots of us here who have walked the Sanabres (and loved it), so you're sure to get responses.

Re: Camino sanabres?

Toby,

Have a look at this site:

http://caminodesantiago.consumer.es/los ... /sanabres/

It is in Spanish and is good. Even if you do not read / speak Spanish you might glean useful info from it, eg the maps. Had I known about it before my walk in Sep 2012 I would have used it rather than some rather out of date French notes I took with me.

The site Eroski Consumer also has guides for other caminos, all in Spanish.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

I second gb's suggestion. I used the eroski guide and it was really all I needed. There are even detailed walking instructions for some of the confusing parts. If you don't speak any Spanish, though, I would say its value is greatly reduced. I know Melanie on the forum has an iphone ap, and I know she updates it regularly, so that might be an option if you have a fancy phone.
