Thank you Ivar -
This really provides a nice backup plan which I have been looking for. I will leave for Roncesvalles next week and plan to use the Brierley guide when possible. If the weather turns worse or something gets hurt I now have a good alternative. Hope to see you some time and buy you a beer (or glass of wine).
Best wishes on your new venture, Bill

Thanks Ivar:

I plan to stay at refugios where ever possible but this would be great to have with me if I feel like a break or the Refugio is full. I've printed a copy to take with me.

This guide is based on 37 days,
walking an average of 20kms per day from Roncesvalles to Santiago staying in double
rooms in hostals, hotels, inns and four Paradors.

I had a look at this as my 77 & 75 year-old parents are thinking of walking part of the camino.

Nice to see they are trying to give you a real camino experience - in between the paradores and hotels they suggest just two albergues - one of which is San Bol ! No toilets, no showers, but a great atmosphere !!

Just a shame they couldn't work it so you stay at Manjarin as well !
