Camino Central Portugal (Viseu to Chaves - Verin etc)

Time of past OR future Camino
So many since 2003.
I’m considering walking this ‘little-known’ caminho in October and was wondering if anyone has also walked the central route at this time of year.
I’m expecting a fair bit of rain but would like to know if there are portions that become impassable or difficult. I usually travel with a poncho but maybe will add waterproof overpants this time.

Any general info on this route would also be really appreciated (thanks to Amsimoes for all the help to date)
Cheers, Grace

Please do not confuse the Caminhos.
In Portugal we have (among others the following Caminhos):
1. Central Caminho, Lisbon to Compostela, which is the most common.
2. Coastal the Caminho, Lisbon to Compostela (a common route is marked with arrows from the Estoril to Fatima and Oporto to Santiago). Nazaré to Porto is not yet marked with arrows.
3. The Interior Caminho, Coimbra to Chaves (but is only marked with arrows of Viseu to Chaves)
4. The Eastern Caminho, Algarve to Compostela, but crosses the Interior Caminho and the Central Caminho. (partially marked with arrows)
5. The Caminho Torres, starting in Salamanca and also crosses the Interior Caminho (in Lamego) and the Central Caminho in Ponte de Lima.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Oops! Note to self, don’t write when you are tired.
Sorry, I did know it is the Interior but had been reading lots of Portugal posts and mixed it up.
I’ll start another post with the correct title to avoid further confusion and the moderator can ‘file’ this one.
Cheers all
