Camino de invierno December

Hi. Was wondering if anyone has walked the camino de invierno in December before starting from ponferrada. Just wondered what the weather will be like and if you managed to find any open albegues. Thanks

How rare to find two posts on the Camino de Invierno in one day! You should scroll through the posts in the Camino de Invierno section, camino-de-invierno/ and you'll probably find some helpful information -- lists of accommodations, the couple of albergues, etc.

The elevations aren't so high that I'd worry about snow in December (unlike on the Camino del Salvador for example), but I bet that a lot of rain is likely.

Check the threads for albergue information -- there's a youth hostel in Quiroga, and one or two other pilgrim albergues but mostly you will have to find private accommodation. That's all likely to be open in December, I assume. Buen camino, Laurie
