Camino Del Norte In July Questions.

Hello.
Fisrt of all, my apologies if these questions have been asked a million times before, but I can´t really find answers anywhere, so bear with me.

I walked The French Way in the fall of 2014 when I was only 19 years of age. It was an amazing experience and I met a lot of nice people.

Now I am considering walking The Northern Way this July and I have some questions:
- How many people will there be? How does it compare to The French Way in October?
- How is the infrastructure - transportation, albergues, food etc?
- How is the weather?
- How hard is it?
- Is it more expensive than The French Way?
- Anything else important I need to know?

Thank you.

Thank you. I have Googled a lot and I have read this page, but what I am interested in is hearing personal experience that is up to date. I would appreciate very much if anyone would share with me.

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
I have walked between Santander and Colunga in August. It was pretty busy, I had to sleep in a sports centre one night, but that was pretty fun (there was a swimming pool and basketball court). Other times I found accommodations in albergues but sometimes it was busy enough that I was walking shorter days that I might have liked, to be sure of a bed.

Transportation is fine: there are buses all along the coast if you need to bail out. Don't forget there is an airport at Oviedo (Asturias) - it seems to be off a lot of people's radar.

I didn't see bag transport, but it may exist by now. Weather is mostly very nice - look up some climate figures for more details.

It is not very hard but is 'harder than it looks' on a map of Spain - because the trail has to go in and out and up and down for the river mouths. In the old days, pilgrims got people to row them across these on boats!

Private accommodation can be a bit expensive because you are competing with tourists. Look up Gronze for some ideas of prices.

Overall, I would say it is fine, but in the height of tourism season it can feel 'not very Camino-like' - this isn't just my opinion, but that of several people I talked to. So if you have the choice of timing, maybe go June to July, rather than July- August.

Tomorrow I fly to Bilbao to start my 5th stint on the Camino. I did the Frances in three parts (2016, 2017 and 2022). Last year I did the Portuguese from Porto. I did the first 200 km of the...
I thought I had this all figured out, but I have ended up with 2 train tickets from San Sebastian (I don't even know if it's the airport or the town) to Irun, instead of ONE that goes all the way...
I use Alltrails a lot here in the US, in Iceland, on the Via Podiensis and a bit on the CF. Will it be useful on the Norte? For example, people here say the "warm up" from Biarritz to Irun (or...
