Time of past OR future Camino

Over the past 12 years since I walked the Camino Frances I have wanted to return to the Holy Remains of the Apostle in Santiago de Compostela. I have not been able to return after several attempts to do so. Always the Lord has put a road block in my plans. God is great!
I couldn’t help but to notice that over the years that many ways have been made for people to make loads of money in the name of our Lord. Even putting the original Christian intent to the side in the name of profit. Now I see that the Camino Frances is overcrowded with people fighting for a place to stay. All because of the money mongers. You know who you are. The names of those responsible are obvious.
So sorry.

Noooo, the Camino Frances is still the Camino Frances. It's the same land with the same churches and same (ish) challenges as it was when I first walked it in the late 90's.

People make a buck because there are many more people willing to purchase and benefit from services offered. Personally, I prefer the private accommodation options nowadays for my older bones, with donativo and municipals still aplenty for those who want to economize.

I wouldn't say the Camino is overcrowded either (ever been to Tokyo? Manila? The City of Smiles? etc). It's still possible to have a quiet Camino even in busier periods if walking between guidebook stages and taking it slow and steady.

New user here. Hello to you all. New to the forum but not to the Camino. I was told about this Forum whilst I walking the lovely scenic 'Camino Norte'. I'm planning walking another in June.
