I've been hearing a lot about the last 100 km from Ourense to Santiago (the last 100 km ou Via de la Plata). Since I will walk with time to spare, would it be worth it to walk from Sarria (or other city close to it) to Ourense to walk the last 100 km to Santiago instead of the final 100 km on the Camino Frances?! I think it would add around 80 km to my walk.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

I don't know of any Camino between Sarria and Ourense but three options came to mind:
1: walk from Astorga in reverse on VdlP to Benavente and then turn right and connect with Sanabres in Sta.Marta de Tera,
2: walk from Astorga as in option no.1 but a day further down south to Granja de Moreruela and turn right onto Sanabres and walk it in its entire lenght or
3: take a ride (BlaBlaCar, bus) from Portomarin to Ourense, enjoy the Canon de Rio Mino along the way and walk the last 100kms on Sanabres.

Ultreia!
