Hello!
I know it would be even more busy this year in July. But this is for me the most adequate time, timewise. What do you think? What about prices? Do they differ during the year? Moneywise I will be very on budget. But I've got such an impulse to do it, and also I would like to do it as soon as possible...
I hope Camino accepts me!

Hello Lana,
July will be very busy. But joining the throng will be part of the excitement.

I have not heard of prices being raised in the busy season.
Many people spend 20 to 25 Euros per day or 1 Euro per km... About 800 Euros to walk from the french border to Santiago. Personally, I spend a little more because I fuel myself with coca-cola and pastry in every town.

The hierarchy of expense for refreshment:

Tap water - free, clean, and abundant
Wine - 80 cents a glass
Bottled water - .80 to 1.50 Euro a bottle
Beer - 1 Euro a small glass
Coffee - 1 to 1.50 Euro a cup (small, large, con leche)
Soft drinks - 1.50 to 2 Euro (1 Euro vending in some places)

It will be quite surprising if prices are not raised in many places. Since bars must post prices for items, there may be a bureaucratic impediment to spontaneous price increases, but with the crush expected in the Holy Year, it is hard to imagine that some places will not be trying for a little extra income.
