Hi there - just thought I would update on this event. Replies are steadiliy trickling in. I did an ABC radio interview last Tuesday and the notice has been emailed out to quite a few people in the city and beyond. Have had a steady reply of yes's, and a steady number of "can't come this time, but we are interested in supporting anything that develops" type replies. If you are interested in attending please let me know (so that we can have enough afternoon tea makings !). We'd love to see anyone who is interested in the Camino there.

regards, Janet

Love to hear that ABC broadcast. Anyone tell me how, please?
Cheers Carole

Hi Carole - not sure that would be possible. It was on ABC 891 afternoons local radio - Carole Whitelock (presenter) at approx 3.45 on Tuesday, July 13th. If you go onto their website they do have somethings on audio stream, but I am not sure if that is there or not. I have been told that they used me saying "the Camino calls to you" (or something like that) as part of their promo for the programme for the whole week. Cheers, Janet

Hi, just a quick post to say that we had 27 people turn up (plus numerous apologies) for our gathering yesterday and a most enjoyable time was had exchanging camino stories with past, future and would be pilgrims. cheers, Janet

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
That's great Janet. What response to the idea of an Oz Confraternity? Our get together in Jamberoo was wonderful as well, lots of stories and sharing. We had 12 turn up, not bad for a little village with a population of only 930, plus a couple from further afield.

There's definitely an interest in more meetings, plus possibly a "Virtual Australian Confraternity".
Buen camino. Carole
