Camino: Here We Come! Again!

Time of past OR future Camino
SJPdP - Logrono (2013) Logrono - Leon (2014) Leon to Santiago (2015)
Just wanted to share my bit of good news with all the lovely folks on here.

Today, I have put the finishing touches to our our arrangements for walking the Camino Frances from Leon to Santiago in early June. Time off work confirmed, flights booked, and all ready to go - to say we're excited is an understatement!

Can't wait! :):):)

Just need to get fit again, now ......

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Thanks for all the good wishes and understanding of our excitement. @Bernard duffy I will try to ensure there is sufficient beer left for your visit, but cannot guarentee it: last year, we were at Calzadilla de la Cueza with a bunch of other pilgrims and the beer ran out. It had been a hot, hot day, though ..... :D

I don't know about everyone else, but in some ways, although we are not physically in Spain, it feels to us as though we are still on the Camino. We often refer to it in those terms between ourselves: that in the months between our last walking and this next visit we are still on pilgrimage, and every walk we do or decision we make (about holiday dates, new equipment, weekends away, etc, etc) is somehow part of that pilgrimage; all adding to the greater experience.

Does that sound daft?

Reading other peoples' experinces on this forum and blogs, I suspect we are not the only ones thus afflicted! :D

I and the Breton I was walking with at that point stayed at the lovely albergue in Viloria de la Riga last year. There isn't a shop in the village so the only beer was the limited supply in the albergue. It was a hot day so it didn't last long enough for us! So it is a good job you are walking further along and not behind me. :)

Right... ever since getting back from my Camino last year, I've done nothing but think about going back for a 're-do' - after reading heaps of posts of people doing a count down to their 2015 Camino, I felt completely left out, so ... booked a ticket today and set off to redo the Camino Frances on 18th May .... happy daze :)
