I am thinking about finishing the Camino towards the end of August. I did part of the walk in June 2009 and would like to finish the walk in August 2011. My question of the day is how busy is the Camino to Santiago at the end of August starting from Burgos? Thanks for your reply

The last 100 km will be busy right into the first week of September. If you are behind that crowd, you will have plenty of company, but always will find a bed. If you start in Burgos on August 31, the crowds will be gone unless you encounter a bulge, where everyone has ended up walking the same stage. Make your own stage, and you will be fine.
