Camino in August!?

Ok, so I've recently agreed to accompany a friend to do a bit of Camino Frances leaving around 20th of August. I'm short on both time and money so I'm thinking to maybe do just a section from Pamplona, if I'm lucky I may get to Burgos?
Thing is I've never walked in August before, all my other camino experience has been around the May/June time and I'm a bit nervous about it all.
I have 2 main worries...
1) Will it be really, really, really, really hot? I'm from Northern England and I think it's a little warm here now. Will I be able to walk in Spain in August without melting?
2) Will it be ridiculously busy? In my experience things get pretty busy in May, but I understand most of Spain takes August off, does that mean they're all walking the camino? I'm taking my tent, it adds and extra 1kg to my weight but I carried it along the Portugues earlier this year and survived. I read the camping thread with some interest, will it be very difficult bed-wise and I should plan on camping a lot?
Thanks for any help from those with more august experience! :D

Well... yes to both questions. You may be able to camp in the grounds of albergues if they are full. If extremely hot, leave early when it is cool, slap on the sunscreen and drink plenty water.

Good luck

Ah, all my fears confirmed!
Thanks, not sure what I was hoping, maybe for someone to say "don't worry there will be a permenant cool breeze wafting over you all the way and all the albergues will have bought extra beds just for your journey" or something.... :D
I guess I'll just have to see how it goes!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Elzi - I'm walking on a route next week myself - I know these feelings...the albergue will now have air conditioning, the next fuente will pour ice cold gin and tonic with a bowl of sliced lemons at the side, the guide book is wrong and I only have 1km to go instead of 10...alas yet again the fantasy doesn't match the reality. But 'twill be great nonetheless.
