Hallo everyone!!!
I am getting ready to leave in about a month for my camino. I will be in SJPP on the 7/7 and start on the 8/7.
I am anxious but also excited that i decided to do the camino. I am coming from Greece and a friend of mine did it last year and told me that it's an experience of a life time!
I hope to make it:)
How is the weather there in July?
Is it possible not to find a place to stay due to the amount of people that will be doing the camino during summer?
Any advise-tips in general for a first time pilgrim is welcomed:))
Just want to be properly prepared!!!!

Hi Angeliki,

Advise for 1st time pilgrims? There is tons of it on this forum but the only bit that really matters is travel light and start slowly!
The weather in July? Hot for we northern Europeans, probably average for you, always the possibility of rain in the mountains and in Galicia.
And a place to stay? In peak season July & August there are a lot of pilgrims but there are also lots of beds. General advice is try to avoid the classic hot-spots determined by the guidebooks, be prepared to walk a little further or stop a little sooner.

Buen camino

ps I've moved this post to a more appropropriate thread.
