Camino in Late February 2009?

Hi,

I think I'm probably going to walk the Camino Frances for Lent (I've bought the plane ticket, but haven't asked for the time off from work yet) will there be anyone else on the trail? I'm a little nervous about walking alone for so long, I plan on bringing a phone in case of an emergency. Also, has anyone recently walked between Cizor Menor and the Alt de Perdon(I know I botched the name) lately? How's the trail? It was a bit washed out in 2007.

It was very muddy in a few places on the climb up to Alto del Perdon in June 2008, but there was only one slip- where you had to scramble over a small pile of mud that had slipped onto the path. Nothing too bad though.

There was a diversion on the hill in 2007 after heavy rains and flooding in the area. The weather bureau in Spain has predicted drier weather from January to March 2009. Perhaps you will have cool, clear, crisp days with no snow or mud.
Here is a link to what it looked like this year in early March 2008.
