Hi there, I wonder if anyone can help me with some information please? I'm walking the Inglés on Thursday and I've got about 6 days to do it. I was thinking of starting in Ferrol, and then at the junction, busing to A Coruña, walking from there to Santiago, to get in both sections.
  • Has anyone done this, and can give me any info please?
  • Any good accommodation suggestions in Ferrol?
  • Any information about transport from Santiago to Ferrol, and from Hospital de Bruma to A Coruña?
  • Any albergues, places not to be missed?
  • Any decent accommodation options in Santiago at this time of the year? Not too expensive.
I'm rather rushed with work at present so would be really grateful if anyone can suggest anything, or let me know links on the forum which might help.

Thanks ever so much, P

Not done both in one trip but you can walk from Bruma to Meson Do Vento (off the Camino by about 1.5km) and catch the bus back to Coruna. You can then walk Coruna to Bruma in one stage (about 30-32 km) or break the stage at the Albergue in Sergude.

Hotel Almendra in Ferrol is good and very good value for money.

Several buses a day from Santiago to Ferrol. Airport bus goes to Santiago bus station from where the Ferrol bus leaves. See http://www.monbus.es/en/routes-points-of-sale/155/travel-santiago-de-compostela-ferrol/ and the Almendra is about 500m from bus station.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
There's a bus from Santiago to Ferrol. I think you can catch it from the square (forgot the Praza name) just outside the old town or from the bus station which is what I did. Lots of decent looking places to stay in Ferrol. I picked one at random from the CSJ guide/booking.com Hotel El Suizo and liked it. It's worth having a good wander around Ferrol the day/afternoon before you start walking.
I really liked the towns and cities on this camino. They're all worth a wander. Betanzos has lovely churches and lots of restaurants. A lovely lady at the museum let me in for a look when they should probably have been closing up for the day after we had a good chat. I also stayed in PR O Meson Novo in Meson do Vento which many have recommended.
I like Pousadas de Compostela Hotel San Clemente in Santiago but it's not always cheap. It's worth checking for deals.

Thanks to all of you who replied, that is so helpful. I've just got back from work, but will check out all your information and advice first thing tomorrow. Again, really grateful. Any other thoughts anyone, very welcome to let me know. Best wishes,
