Time of past OR future Camino
April 2023
Greeting all,

I am a new member on the forum planning my 1st Camino after many years of thinking about it.

I am beginning from El Ferrol on 2nd April 2023 and planning to attend Pilgrim mass on Thursday 6th. My accommodation is booked and I am in good physical shape. (for 60) I note some folks on the forum looking at 6 or 7 days for the camino Ingles and was wondering am I being ambitious with a 4.5 day target? I am a lone pilgrim.

Sunday 2nd El Ferrol - Pontedeume
Monday 3rd Pontedeume - Betzanos
Tuesday 4th Betzanos - Bruma
Wednesday 5th Bruma - Segueiro
Thursday 6th Seguiro - Santiago (Arrival 11am)

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
Camino Inglés turned out to be more hilly than we expected when we walked there last Easter - but if you are used to this kind of distances (and hills) it should be possible.

Aren't those the distances set out in Gronze? So should be achievable.

I think this is one of the situations when Gronze kilometres are shorter than the ones you actually walk...

My wife and I walked this during Holy Week last year. We used the whole week arriving in Santiago for Easter. There will be both a procession and the Botafumeiro at the main mass on Easter. We also cut your first day short in order to watch the processions in Ferrol.

Thanks to you for your feedback. I am currently do 10km with 13.5minute split. I will try to incorporate more graduating elements.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

I walked the Inglés in 7 days last year and that was ok for me, no rush - but we are all different.

Buen Camino
