Camino Ingles

I am currently walking the Francis Route. I can leave Santiago on the 5th June and need to be back for a 10.30am flight to London on the 15th June

I was wanting to do some walking in that time (I walked to finestierre and muxia last year) and was thinking the Ingles would be a good option.. I just can't work out incorporating the 7th stage? Ie from a coruna.

Can anyone help or offer me a different walk, say a part of the Portugues route ( I only want to bus out of Santiago).

Thanks in advance

Lucy

Hi Lucy - yu can bus or train out of Santiago to Coruna or Ferrol. I did the Ferrol route in a slow and easy 7 days last year. Most do it in 5 days. Coruna is about 110 km max. From Ferrol is about 120 km. I couldn't regard them as 'tough', and if you've just finished the Francé, then they should be a stroll for you. Here is a good link to a lot of info on routes, maybe you can find something you like to try:

Good luck and enjoy. Keith

Hi Lucy, we too had some extra time on our hands, so bussed to A Coruna and walked back to Santiago. It is only about 75km, so if you hope for a Compostela you must have proof of walking 25km in you home area. (Stamp from a local church/city hall).
The walk is easy, pleasant paths and some asphalt. A Coruna is beautiful with lovely beaches. The tourist office is very helpful.
We are going to Finisterre too (bus part way) for our final 2 days.
Enjoy your caminos!

Hi. I will be in Santiago on June 6 or 7 and have extra days until I have to be back in Santiago on June 14. I am interested in doing the Camino Ingles maybe in A Coruna.

Let me know if you are interested.

I may see you in the way. I have to leave Santiago on the 5th June and petrol is the best option as it's longer.
Buen Camino
