Camino Mozarabe GPX file. Almeria to Merida

Time of past OR future Camino
FRuture: Camino Sureste (2022)
Dear Forum members,

I am planning to walk the Mozarabe route starting 1st October 2019.

I am aware that a GPS route is beneficial for this camino and I am trying to obtain a GPX file for this route.

Could anyone guide me where to obtain this. It will be of great help.

Thanks and buen Camino to all,

Ray

It is very useful but some sections of the Mozarabe route have changed and it no longer agrees with the signposting in parts of the Mozarabe. I found the tracks from the Spanish government site more up to date and accurate.

The website for Almeria Jacobea has links to GPS tracks on the right side of the home page

Badajoz Jacobea has put a map of Spain on its site (perhaps it's the same data that Bradypus linked to above). You can zoom in on any section of any of the marked Caminos and click to download the tracks for that stage.

In general, the Camino is clearly marked. For most stages, GPS is a reassurance or a backup rather than your main source of directions.

Dear Forum members,

I managed succesfully to download all GPX files for the Mozarabe Route thanks to your useful tips and links.

To me this is a very useful tool especially knowing that this route is mostly a solitary one.

Meanwhile will be glad to connect with anyone planning to walk it next October.

Buen Camino,
Ray

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

I've just completed the Camino Mozarabe from Almeria. My first Camino was the Camino Frances from SJPDP in October 2021. I don't have a trip report as such. I know people who trip on mushrooms...
