Greetings,
Last fall we hiked the Camino Norte as far as Bilbao. We wish to continue along the coast this fall for about two weeks, although do not necessarily need to start at Bilbao. Any suggestions for a section somewhere between there and Ribadeo that minimizes walking on asphalt.
Thanks amigos.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

I have just returned from walking the Norte to Ribadeo, and then around the coast to Ferrol and the Camino Ingles. I posted every day to my blog giving info on walking surfaces amongst many other things. I don't have time right now to read it through in order to make suggestions, but you are very welcome to take a look...

The stage after Bilbao is the worst. I would start somewhere around the beautiful Pobena beach.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Last May I walked the first part of the Norte in the opposite direction, from Santander to Irun. Since I only had two weeks and couldn't reach Santiago anyway, I wanted to swim against the tide...
