Time of past OR future Camino
May 2024
Good day
My name is Jo from Perth Australia. I’ll be doing my first and solo Camino in May 2024. I’ve chosen the camino portugues coastal route. From what I can see it seems that this route is not clearly marked, is this true. Please can anyone share your experience with route makings in this Camino. Much appreciated.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hi @JoJoPee, welcome to the forum. Even allowing that the situation might easily change in a year I've seen nothing that suggests that the coastal route(s) are poorly marked. Do be aware that there are multiple routes in Portugal some with similar names. A good guidebook / app such as that by forum friend https://www.wisepilgrim.com/the-camino-portugues may help, and reassure you

Thank you for the reassurance ! I’ve downloaded the guide, it will help me. Is there another app that you could recommend for hostels, where they are and how to book ? Thanks again !

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
It's signed well enough even when it turns inland!
To start the Coastal/ Senda Littoral route out of Porto keep the Douro river on your left and walk out to the coast;then it's promenades, boardwalks and some road walking.
The Sea being on your left also helps:)

When you turn inland there are enough Camino signs to follow.
Green ones are for the senda.
I used WisePilgrim app on my phone and tablet and got to Santiago!
It was a great walk and i would add if you have enough time walk the Espiritual Variant you won't regret it!!!!
Have a wonderful walk
Buen Camino
