October (2015)
I am traveling the Camino with 2 grandkids during the month of October. We are starting in Leon and I was told we could obtain our camino passports in Leon? Is this true and where might we go to obtain them?
Thank you !

Yes it is true. In Leon you can obtain a Credencial or Pilgrim passport at the
Albergue del convento de las Carbajalas, plaza Santa Maria de Camino. Here is their listing on Gronze . You need not stay there in order to obtain a Credencial. Open all year the hours are 11 am to 10 pm. Their location is in the center city close to the cathedral. Check the Gronze list re additional Leon spots which also offer the Credencial .

Buen camino!

Tourist office has them as well.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Since you've been so helpful, do you know where I can get info on walking from Lourdes to SJPP? I'm having trouble finding anything on trails and maps in English.
Thanks

Icilanature.com offers guides and self guides walks, including one from Lourdes to SJPP. the info on their site tives you the etapas and distances, so it's a start. If you google you should be able to to find the site easily, and even with basic French you'll get a good sense. They have it as an 8 day walk, with 20 or so km a day.
