Done it in 2016, French Route.

Planning to walk over Xmas and new year from Porto to Santiago, inland route. Got the list of accommodation published elsewhere on this site (amazing effort). Hoping albergues will be open, and phoning a few to chek. But any comments welcome. My first plan was Camino Sanabres from Verin to Santiago but flights from the UK to Spain too long and costly (via Madrid, Barcelona). any thoughts. There are direct flights to Porto so it seems sensible to do this route over winter. And leave Sanabres to the summer.
