Camino Portugués in Oct'17
Holá Peregrinos!
Last year when I compleated camino I knew that next year I will walk again. And here I'm planning my second Camino. This time I plan to walk Potrugues but not sure which route -coastal or central. Thats why I have following questions.
1. Are there many albergues on coastal way? And are they more expensive than on central route?
2. Dont know when Ill be able to walk.It all depends when person who I replace on work comes back but Im thinking it will be somewhere around october. Has anyone tell me about weather in october.I cant find much information about october walkers experience :))
3. I remember last year in SJPDP I got a list of albergues and distances between towns in pilgrimes office. Does they have something similar from Porto?
Maybe those who have walked Camino Portugues could share their blogs or vlogs or some useful information.

Thank you! And Buen Camino ➡

Hi Laur
There's no dedicated pilgrim office in Porto as far as I know. It would be good to bring information with you.

Have you looked through the Camino Portuguese section of this site? There's plenty of blogs and some guides that I think would help you to make some more detailed plans.

I haven't walked this in October, so I'll leave that for anyone who has to comment.

Have a great Camino

I'm not good at Albergue advice as I set off each day usually with no idea of where I would be staying the night.
But on the Portuguese Coastal keep your eyes out for camping grounds. Brierly notes some with triangles.
Little cabins with varying facilities. Often pilgrim rates, discounted meals and air con!
'Orbitur' is the name of one of the chains.
Next time I'd Google 'Portugal camping'.
Good travelling and bom Camino.

Hi Laur!

(1) Not really that many, and a definite "No" to your second question!
(2) Can't help you with that one beyond having a look at the average numbers - here they are from Vigo http://www.holiday-weather.com/vigo/averages/
(3) Perhaps this sheet can help you with distances - https://www.caminodesantiago.me/com...df-route-portugues-route-monacal-coastal.404/ (it also contains a list of the albergues and prices). Alternatively http://www.urcamino.com/camino-portugues/route is excellent...

Bom caminho!
