I'm thinking of doing the Spanish portion of the Camino Portugues (from Tui) in late December/early January (2017/2018). Does anyone know what type of weather I might expect? I've gotten information on albergues and lodging, but I haven't seen a lot about weather (personal observations of that route, I mean). Thanks!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Storm ,wind and rain, cold .
We stayed in the north of Portugal -60 kms away from Valença do Minho/Tui -from 24th of December 2015 to 8th of January 2016.
This time as we heard from our Portuguese friends it was dry weather but very cold.
It is the north of Portugal snd Spain. A sea climate .very unpredictable ! Be prepared for the worst !

Bom caminho

Thank you for starting this thread, Mary! I wanted to ask exactly the same question ;)

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Hi Mary, just wondering what you found to be the best source of albergues and lodging for Tui to Santiago. We are doing the route late Feb 2018. Many thanks in advance.

I would say (being quite difficult to forecast the weather nowadays :(), windy, cold (in the range from -5 to +15 C), raining (but mostly gentle rain, not strong storms), if you are very unlucky a little snow.

Buen Camino & Ultreia!!
