camino santiago during christmas and new year

hello...
me and my mom are planning to visit santiago de compostela for the first time in our lives...the only time we can do it is during december 25- january 3... and i am a bit afraid if we can find accomodation in this term... could you please help me out a bit....
we will start in sarria and we dont know any spanish...is there a list of hostels available in this time?
or a contact to them so i can call and make sure that we' ll not freeze up during our walk....???
i appreciate any help...

Hi - I have walked the Camino Frances during this time and places can close unpredictably because of family commitments etc during the holidays. Since you have no Spanish I'd consider using a booking company like the Camino Travel Centre to make the arrangements for you: http://caminotravelcenter.com/

You can download here http://www.caminodesantiago.me/comm...lbergues-on-the-camino-frances-in-one-pdf.10/ a free PDF file that shows you all the albergues on the Camino Frances, as you can see they get more frequent the closer you get to Santiago. Even if you don't know Spanish, you should be able to find an open refugio and there will not be a problem of getting a bed as there are only very few people on the way. Maybe we will see you and your mother veronika! Just decided to meet up with a friend from Madrid and we will be taking the night train to Sarria (or Tui on the Portuguese) on the 26th to start walking on December 27th. We plan on spending New Year's eve (Nochevieja) in Santiago.
There are lots of albergues along this stretch so I assume that something will be open.
