Camino Signs in Unlikely Places

Spirit of the Camino (Nick)
Time of past OR future Camino
Some in the past; more in the future!
This morning I was in the sleepy colonial town of Antonina, near Curitiba in the Brazilian state of Paraná. I know the camino is popular with Brazilians but I didn’t expect to stumble upon camino memorabilia in a place like this!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Probably part of the Rhine-Camino, been there quite close to, just a couple of weeks ago. The way follows the Rhine quite closely, walked a few kilometers from Bingen which is mentioned on one of the signposts (21,7 km). Great views, though lots of ups and downs - a beautiful tour along several vineyards, lots of nice places to take breaks and to do some fine wine-tasting.

It’s on my list as my uncle lives in Breitzenheim. There is the Hermitage down this road with the old place cut into the rocks. I’m going to check and see if it follows the Wine Way and see how far you can walk.

Just checked: The Rhine-Camino is split into 3 stages, depending which way one walks - about 50 to 59 kilometers. And now I'll stop being off-topic, promise :).

Still in Brazil, today I visited the Escadaria Selarón (Wikipedia link) in Rio de Janeiro, which is a famous tiled staircase leading from Lapa to Santa Theresa. Many different tiles make up the staircase, and guess what I found there?
