Time of past OR future Camino

I am using this company to help me plan the trip. Everything was finalized and I paid a deposit. They were supposed to provide all the final details and collect final payment a couple of weeks ago.

They said they were just busy last week but now I haven’t heard from them. Should I just start over? I can probably do it myself.

If you can recover your deposit - you can do it yourself. There are plenty of well informed repeat Peregrinos on here (and me) who will help you fill in the gaps if necessary. It’s much more straightforward than it may appear.

Fortunately the deposit wasn’t huge. They have a lot of great reviews. Something must have happened so I have been patiently waiting but it’s cutting close now. We leave the US in 10 days.

Well, they’ve got time to come good; but it’ll be fine if they don’t.

I met a woman on the Francés who used this company, and she said that the price was much less than others that she looked at, but in at least one town they couldn't make arrangements for her and she had to make her own.
You can definitely do it yourself. Personally, I would want to have control of my reservations so that I could adjust things as I go. I'm in the "reserve the first few days, then book a day or two ahead as you discover your own walking pace" camp.

That's what I'm concerned about. I think I will just have her reserve the first few nights to use the deposit we paid. How do you coordinate sending a bag to the next town every day?

Many places to stay have the envelopes for the private companies at reception. Correos allows simple booking online in English.

Posted without fully thinking (no surprise there then!):

Daily bag transport does, of course, require you to know where you will be staying that night.

If you can get your Camino pack down to a weight you’re comfortable carrying it gives you much more daily flexibility as to how far to go and when to stop. If you want a bag of end-of-Camino supplies you can send them directly to Ivar in Santiago who will hold it there for a modest charge.

There are as many ways of doing this as you can imagine.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Hi! Wiktoria here. We apologize for the inconveniences you have experienced regarding the finalization of your trip details and the delay in sending the itinerary. We understand your concerns. We would like to rectify the situation and ensure you will have a smooth and enjoyable Camino. These last 2 months we've been quite overwhelmed with numbers of new enquiries in addition to attending the needs of the pilgrims who were already on their way. We are a small company, there is only 3 of us and despite our efforts, we've been hugely overwhelmed with numbers of e-mails, calls and other office work we did not expect would be so urgent. In the future we will try to fix this and speed up our way of work to be more time-efficient. We've already sent you an email with the full itinerary which we hope you will receive soon. We will be expecting your comments regarding the final itinerary. Buen Camino!

I’m so relieved! I tried to be patient knowing you were busy but I only had a few more days before starting our trip.
