Peterborough Pilgrims to Santiago, a Anglican Church based Confraternity in
Peterborough Diocese are looking for someone to be an intern.

Working with 16+ young people, for the year beginning 1 September 2011. The major part of the task will be planning, organizing, and recruiting youngsters who would like to walk from Leon to Santiago June/July 2012. There will be accommodation in Northampton UK, an allowance, expenses, two paid for pilgrimages and we hope a time living on the Camino meeting pilgrims on their way through.

Our aim with this initiative is to develop Youth Pilgrimage as a right of passage for those who are leaving School/ Uni. We are inspired by the way this works for youngsters in Spain. We would like it to happen for UK based teenage folk as well.

Interested and have an active Christian faith, then sent a private message to me.

We are a "not for profit Church Organisation".

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Fantastic opportunity for the right person!

I hope your program comes together well. It will be a wonderful experience for all involved, leadership and participants, alike.

David, Victoria, Canada.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Might help if you specify the age range of the person you are looking for.

It would also help if you said whether you are looking for someone who speaks Spanish and to what level.

You must make it clear they will need an enhanced CRB check as well.

I'm sorry I live so far away because I only work part-time and this would have been a wonderful way to give something back.

Put an advert in the CSJ Bulletin.

It is a bit early to expect replies to be flooding in. :D

If I was an EU citizen, I would be all over that....I've got experience working with teens (5 years as a Catholic Youth Minister) and planning international trips for large groups. Good luck!

Full details to those who ask and are properly interested.( Which means that much of the detail is by agreement) . I do not think that age is a bar and as I understand it non-EU citizens are not prevented from taking up this sort of placement.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Hi there Ian,

This is a wonderful idea and opportunity.
This exact sort of initiative was something I dreamt of doing after my first Camino in 2007 however my life took me to further lands to explore.
Again, it would something I would love to do with you all up there in Peterborough but despite my Camino/Pilgrim personality, I am not a practicing Christian which I fear would rule me out although I do posess similar christian values.

I wish you well in your search, It really is a wonderful gift to give young people.

Greg

Sent you a private message the other day, not sure if you have recieved it yet, but I would love the opportunity to do this if you still haven't found any one.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I have heard that Ian has found the right person for his youth intern program. I had directed the young man to Ian so am pretty sure he has made a good choice.

I would sure be interested to hear how the UK youth Camino program works out and hope that an update can be posted from time to time.

Yes, that is right we have found the right person. Thanks for the help. Now we need to find young people who would like to come with us. It will be in June next year after the exams. It is open to
Uk residents aged between 16 and 23 years. Those with a faith and those with none. But they must be able to respect the beliefs of the group ethos which is CHRISTIAN, but not denominational. Should you know any please get them to send me a private message, or email ianholdworth@aool.com.
