Hi
Does anyone know how easy it is to hire a car in Santiago airport or city and drive down to our starting point in Tui? I have looked at some sites and all they all say that you have to drop off in Vigo. Does anyone know if there is a company that lets you drop off the car in Vigo? Four of us will arrive mid afternoon on a Sunday and thought this might be an easier way. Thanks. Judy

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Probably take a taxi , negociate about the price with the taxidriver and share the costs with your companions. It's 100 kms aproximately .
Alternative is public transport I thought there was a thread about it on this forum the other day.
Anyway you can get by bus or train to Vigo and from there to Tui by taxi .
A bit complicated maybe but the infrastructure in Spain is different to what you are used to be in the UK or in Western Europe.
Bom caminho

There are a dozen trains a day from Santiago to Tui with a connection. Almost all consolidate at about 1812 except the first two trains at 0547 and 0614, which will get you to Tui at 1038.

There are buses at 1200 and 1800 that go through Vigo and Tuy to Valenca do Minho.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Falcon thank you. We are arriving into Santiago airport on a Sunday at 17.45. Is there a train later than that? I suppose it would have to be after 19.00 I guess. If not, do you have any other ideas or websites I can check out. Another poss would be to hire a car from the airport, drop it off in Vigo and get the bus/train from there or if its too late, get a taxi to Tui...
Thanks for your help. Judy
