LIVE from the Camino Castrojeriz to Santiago in 17 days!!

Time of past OR future Camino
August 2017
So I started from Burgos yesterday and I'm currently in Castrojeriz (beautiful!!). According to my new friend's guidebook, I realized that I'd get to Santiago in 19 days, on Aug 26, when I really need to get there in 17 days, by Aug 24, to catch my flight on the morning of the 25th. Anyone know of any resources to help me plan out the next couple days of walking? I'd rather not take the bus because I've loved walking so much. Should I just take two long days (~40 km of walking) or spread them out?? Any and all input is appreciated!!

Don't plan - take it easy. Two consecutive 40km days may put an end to your Camino. You can always take a bus or taxi to catch up a half day here and there.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

40km p/d is achievable. Maybe not sustainable.
In a similar situation I would do a couple of hard days - they will still be fun - allowing you to enjoy the rest at more reasonable pace ... and above all feel more relaxed about hitting the deadlines
It's not so much about completing the journey but feeling less anxious about doing so.
So dig deep ...

It's very doable in 17 days and as already said the average per day is at 27km. You can also shorten two days a bit. First after Leon if you choose the Camino via San Martin del Camino and before Sarria if you don't go via Samos.
Stages could be like:
- Fromista: 24,7km
- Carrion de los Condes: 18,8 (+10,9km to reach average)
- Moratinos: 29,7 (+8,4)
- El Burgo Ranero: 27,2 (+8,4)
- Arcahueja: 30,3 (+5,3)
- Vilar de Mazarife: 29,2 (+3,3)
- Astorga: 31,4 (-0,9)
- Foncebadon: 25,8 (+0,5)
- Ponferrada: 26,8 (+0,9)
- Pereje: 29,3 (-1,2)
- Linares: 26,0 (exactly in average 27km per day)
- Samos: 27,7 (-0,5)
- A Pena: 28,8 (-2,1, many possibilities to stop earlier on this stage)
- Portos: 27,4 (-2,3)
- Boente: 25,6 (-0,7)
- O Pedrouzo: 27,8 (-0,1)
- Santiago: 19,4 and there you are in 17 walking days.

Buen Camino!

Buen Camino!
I would suggest walking the 4 km past Fromista (easy flat walk) to stay at the absolutely wonderful albergue La Finca. You won't regret it. Here's what I posted about it after staying there https://www.caminodesantiago.me/com...lbergue-just-past-fromista.49481/#post-537139

And this is an excellent planning tool http://www.godesalco.com/plan

The walk in to Leon is worth skipping if you're pressed for time. Nursing bad knees, I took a cab from Molinaseca to Ponferrada and then walked to Villafranca del Bierzo. While I appreciate your desire to walk, having just completed my Camino, if you push too hard, you may not appreciate the essence of the Camino. Whatever you choose, Buen Camino.
