The course of the works has forced to provisionally close the entrance that until now was habitually used to access the Cathedral of Santiago . The Praterías door will remain closed during the day today because of the work that is being carried out in the cloister area. Instead, today visitors and neighbors can enter the basilica by the Acibechería (praza da Inmaculada), from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. This is explained in the posters installed next to the most visited temple in the city, while those responsible for the management of the Cathedral warned - and last week - through the social networks of this eventual circumstance.

From the Fundación Catedral they explain that a large part of the Plaza de Praterías has been fenced so that the crane can develop the work with comfort and safety. The crane located in front of the south facade of the basilica is taking care of introducing the necessary elements for the assembly of auxiliary elements in the cloister.
