Kwazulu Natal:
We will be celebrating St James’ Feast Day in Hilton again this year.
Venue: 7a Dale Rd, Hilton.
Date & Time: 12:00 on Sunday 24th July 2011
Like last year we would like to have a picnic/tapas-type lunch, if the weather is warm, so besides a plate of food to share, please bring your own drinks, plate and cutlery and a folding chair.
We will walk a mini-camino around the neighbourhood (or a labyrinth) before lunch so wear comfortable shoes and bring a hat. We will also be treated to a "queimada" ritual and celebration. For those who have not yet experienced this, it will be a fabulous surprise.
If you would like to be part of the festivities and share a poem, sing a song, or share any other camino related talent, please feel free! I have a guitar for anyone who would like to play. I will try and organise a new Camino related DVD or perhaps a short talk and presentation.
Southern Cape Area: The Southern Cape branch is celebrating the Feast of St. James in Oudtshoorn this year and Hazel Jonkers will be hosting the get-together at Mimosa Lodge, Baron van Reede Street. Bishop Frank will be leading a small service. You can email Hazel for more information at hazel@opsa.co.za
