Hi everyone
What will be better, walk from Sauges to Le Sauvage and Le Sauvage to Saint Alban or stop at Chanaleilles instead? What about goog gites in this area?
Thanks a lot

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
There were two gites in Chanaleilles when I went through. Both were nice (we stayed in the one up by the church). Le Sauvage also is nice. It is a large stone building and more festive and communal. If you want to be with other pilgrims, it is probably a better choice.

I loved Le Sauvage. It is run as a cooperative by local farmers. They supply the produce for meals. Also great views.

Depends a bit on the spring in your legs. The climb up to the crest was fairly demanding, for me. After the crest, it's all downhill to St Alban.

We prepare our meal or the do prepare it for us?? I can't imagine myself in the kitchen after a long day uphill :-(

Yes, it is a communal meal, very good and one of the most social meals we had on this route. We had a great night there. There was also a free washing machine and dryer there which was very handy as we had walked in freezing rain all afternoon.

Yes. They cook. And they do it well!

Definitely Le Sauvage. It was one of our magical nights. The food was all local and delicious (and made and served family style), and you are supporting a local farming cooperative by staying there.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Le Sauvage definitely. Have stayed there twice and both times were excellent.
