This year Summer in Australia has been hotter and longer than recorded history, I have heard the same from friends in Europe for the past winter,

It seems like the summer in Oz doesn't want to end, and expect the same for the winter/autumn in Spain. I fear that my next Camino will be wet and cold :( , I hope not, I enjoy travelling light with the bare necessities for summer. Last year it was cold and rained for the most of may, miraculously the fine weather arrived with me just as I started my 3rd Camino.

I'm praying for lots of overnight rain for the farmers, a mild sunny days for us pilgrims .

Thanks, I hope Europe starts to warm soon, my sister ( Munich ) informed that this winter was the longest, darkest and coldest since 1860 and and overnight temps are still sub zero, with no end forecast. I am guessing that Spain is experiencing similar weather patterns

Frank, I think pilgrims are going to have to be more adaptable, flexible and prepared for anything.

In the UK we have just had the coldest Easter ever - that's offical.

In December 2010 I was in Galicia in T shirt and got sunburned.

The farmers in the UK are really worrying about what this shift in the world's weather patterns is going to do to their task of producing the food the country needs.

From the Camino perpsective we may to accept that the old certainties have gone.

As I have posted elsewhere suddenly all pilgrims are becoming English and talking endlessly about the weather. :D

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I am commencing my Camino in two weeks and although it is still unusual cold in The Netherlands and seems to be raining in Spain I tell everyone that I am prepared for rain but won't need the gear as I will have nice weather. Hope St James will honor that statement too :D

Yes, pardon me. So I've just read this cool article about the closing of the Puerta del Perdón in the Monastery of Santo Toribio for the holy year (and it is a very beautiful peurta for sure). It...
