If it is of interest to any forum members planning to travel within Portugal, I suggest checking out special bargain fares being offered on the CP website. I am travelling from Lisbon to Porto and looking at timetables and tickets noticed reductions from usual prices, so my journey will now cost only 15 euros rather than 24.30. Early departures on weekdays in May are even cheaper, with some as low as 9.50 euros. When you have entered your itinerary just click on the buffering symbol in the column for 'special offer' which has first and second class fares. A note of caution, when you get near checkout - and you will have to register to buy tickets - there is a drop down list of choices that includes elderly, I chose that and had to start again as this causes the selection to default to full price.
Also bargain fares to Braga from Lisbon. Bom Caminho!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I used the Lisbon to Porto train last May and would certainly recommend it. We were in a group of four and received a further discount so we went in first. Well worth the couple of extra euro.
