Christmas 2014
Hi guys,

I'm planning on starting my second Camino this December 14 from SJPDP. I've never done the Camino in winter and was wondering if anyone of you could tell me what to expect during this time of the year (mainly in terms of albergues). Do you think the Napoleon route will possible be open (or is it out of the question) and if not does the alternative take longer time?

My plan is to reach Granon by 24th December and spend my Christmas eve there. If anyone is planning the same it would be nice to know (we will be 3 pilgrims in my group).

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
How lovely! Highly recommend you look at Margaret Meredith- mspath on the forum. She's is currently on her 10th winter camino, and is writing a blog, and has written about everything you need to know. And is a delightful lady!
Buen Camino !

Yep Margaret is the go to gal for 'straight from the pilgrims mouth' current feedback- backed by a lot of Winter Camino experience.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Sounds really good! I would love to know how is the Camino in this time of year..

BUEN CAMINO! ;)

Have an excellent trip!

I was asking the same question just awhile ago as I will be departing SJPDP on the 15th of January, who knows, our paths may cross.

Buen Camino!
