Christmas lights in Lisbon

A selection of Camino Jewellery
Thank you very much for sharing the beautiful views of Lisboa in Christmas time!
Lisboa is a very special city. After my first visit in April 2016, there was a very strong calling from my heart that I should come back again. But my sense told me there were many other cities to visit.

So, I left it to God and said if Portugese team went into final in Europe Cup 2016, I would go back. It turned out that Portugese team not only went into final but won the trophy when facing the strong lineup of France. I remembered the crowd showed their tears and cheers at the commercial square and the team held high the trophy at the top of Parque Eduardo VII (the great view of the city).

Lisboa is beautiful and mysterious in her own way.

I was in Porto last December after my Camino. What I remember most was that it didn't seem like stores and streets were inundated with the commercialization of Christmas. Yes there were lovely lights and displays but it felt like a welcome change to me. I don't know if it was just my perception or if there is truth to this.

I, too, love Lisboa! My first experience was in 1974. Husband and I had sailed up the Tagus and were at a dock on April 25 when the Carnation Revolution began, and I've been back several times, living there one year, and walking the Caminho in 2018. The Portuguese people are splendid. Thank you for the photos!

Thank you so much ‘jungleboy’ & ‘mai’ for magnificent pictures, they would lift your heart! Was supposed to do Camino Portuguese in Sept so hopefully next year. Happy New Year to Ivar & all Forum members - best wishes from a wet, cold & windy Cork, Ireland

Lovely. Brings back wonderful memories of my time in Lisbon in 2019 prior to walking CP.
